<p>Thank you all so much for your deep generosity, encouragement and support!! Together we just protected a whopping 73+ acres of rainforest and secured the rights of the people in them. It would take 949 blue whales (the largest animal in the world) swimming side by side to fill that much space!</p>

<p>I've reached my fundraising goal so am guaranteed my spot in the London Marathon. However, you can continue to donate here through May 15th to support even more forest people and critical rainforest ecosystems.</p>

<p><span style="font-family: tahoma, sans-serif;"><span style="color: #1c1c1c;"><span style="line-height: 14.25pt;">Many of you know that this year has been particularly difficult for me, as I've been experiencing chronic debilitating arm pain and have struggled to find cause or cure. Running is the main thing that has made me feel better, and I'm ready to put it to even better use with this marathon goal. 26.2 miles is a big and scary goal for someone who has spent most of her life convinced she couldn't run even one mile. But my training has been an important motivator to build a consistent, healthier, more balanced routine</span></span></span>—with exercise and good sleep a daily priority—<span style="color: #1c1c1c; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; line-height: 19px;">as I work to recover for the long-term.</span></p>

<p><span style="color: #1c1c1c; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; line-height: 19px;"> </span><span style="font-family: tahoma, sans-serif;"><span style="color: #1c1c1c;">I chose to fundraise for the Rainforest Foundation because now is a crucial time for the forests and communities they support. 50 million indigenous people make their home in the rainforests, yet one acre of rainforest is lost every second. Around the world, we all depend on healthy rainforests for filtering the air we breathe and regulating the global climate. The Rainforest Foundation is working to ensure the long-term protection of rainforests by securing the rights of indigenous communities to land, life and livelihoods. I’ve admired their work since I was a teenager, and am honored to be supporting them in one of their most important sources of annual funds. </span>My fundraising goal has helped to protect 72 acres of rainforest and its people. </span></p>
