Story

***Lilablu Langley-Vincent, passed away at her family home in Langney Road, Eastbourne, on March 29 at the age of three. Her family and friends have paid tribute to "a strong little star". Lilablu – known as Lila – was diagnosed with stage four neuroblastoma just before Christmas 2008.

If you would like to make a donation on this page in memory of Lilablu The 2Simple Trust will use it to help them support other children with Neuroblastoma. Thank you.***

Lilablu was like any other happy little girl, then tragedy struck and our lives were changed forever, she was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma - she was only two and a half years old.  Since then she has undergone the fitting of a hickman line into her main artery in her chest which is used to administer chemo-therapy, she’s had various scans , blood tests, surgery to remove the main tumour, stem cell recue to aid her recovery after high dose chemo and 2 visits to the paediatric intensive care unit (picu).

She was doing so well and seemed to sail through all of this, the chemo seemed to be working and the scans revealed that she only had one tumour left in her knee, this was brilliant news, we really thought we were winning and then three days in to her radiotherapy she started complaining of headaches.  We were told the devastating news that she had relapsed with probably weeks to live , however our little fighter was given two new chemo drugs and we were told it could go one way or the other and luckily Lila has responded well because that was back in Aug 2009.

We were due to finish the latest chemo course in March 2010, however, new scans have shown that it is no longer working and she is now being put forward for inclusion in a clinical trial.  We still, and desperately, need your help and support in raising money for our brave little soldier who continues to defy the odds against this awful disease.  Any donation will be used to send her to America for treatment to help save her life or provide the best possible relapse treatment in Europe.  Please help to give Lilablu a chance.
