Thank you for visiting my justgiving page! This summer I’ll be running the British 10k for the
Fairtrade Foundation, making sure that farmers and workers across the developing world get a fair price for the items they produce.
More than one-third of the world’s population lives on less than $2 per day, many of them
farmers who are unable to make a decent living because of unfair global trade rules and a
consumer culture which demands lower and lower prices for our goods.
Fairtrade aims to redress this imbalance by giving farmers the chance to sell their crop at a
sustainable price, and receive a little bit extra to invest in their community through better
education, health care or other facilities.
Every penny I make will go directly to the Fairtrade Foundation to support their ambition to give every farmer and worker in the developing world a fair chance at a better future.
