Pauleen is a close friend and work colleague. Last May she was diagnosed with cancer. Over the last 10 months she has been through agressive sessions of chemotherapy and in october last year she had major surgery. Pauleen is now in Bolton Hospice and has been there for the last 6 weeks. During that time she has seen children visiting relatives with there parents but there is no where for them to go.
Pauleen is extremely grateful for the care and attention from the staff at the hospice and she want to give them something back to say Thankyou. Pauleen has asked me if there is anything we can do to raise funds to decorate one of the family rooms to make it more child friendly for children to play in while there parents are visiting.
As I work at Whitakers Department store I has spoke to my colleagues there. Items have been donated and raffled and a walk has been organised in which alot of Whitakers staff are going to be taking part in as well. We aim to raise £1000 in total but hopefully by using this page we can raise abit more. So far we have raised £240 with the help of the Wallis and Whitakers staff. Thankyou very much.
We would be extremely gratefully if you could please donate as much or as little as you can manage. If you would like to join us on the walk please feel free. It will be taking place on Sunday the 28th March 2010 at 12pm at Rivington barn and we will be going to the top of Rivington pike. Everyone is welcome and each child will receive a chocolate egg at the top when the walk is completed.
