Along with friends from Benfleet Methodist Church, I will be taking part in the British 10K on 11 July to raise funds for the Whitechapel Mission.  I have one medal from the 2008 Ladies Hyde Park 5K which I participated in as my swansong for Havens Hospices in Essex shortly after my retirement. 

The Whitechapel Mission provides daily support for homeless men and women by providing breakfasts, hot showers, clothing and opportunities to help them get their lives back on track.  They are supported by voluntary donation and this is my opportunity to raise funds for the Mission.
