My story
Hello all,
I have decided to set myself a monumental challenge and raise money by taking part in the Peruvian Inca Trail Challenge in May 2012. This is a tough 9 day challenge, starting in the Inca capital of Cusco and following the lost trail of the Inca’s to Machu Picchu. This will involve trekking through the Andes Mountains, (twice the height of Ben Nevis!), along gushing rivers, through ancient tunnels and over high mountain passes - not just a walk in the park!
I will be raising funds for Quarriers, Scotland’s leading social care charity, who are committed to improving the lives of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged children and communities across the country. Check out their website - www.quarriers.org.uk
My training is underway already with many miles ahead, however I am looking forward to completing this personal milestone. I know times are tough, however it would mean a lot to me personally if you could dig deep and help me meet my target by donating (even a small amount) to this very important and worthwhile charity.
