URGENT UPDATE 6 MARCH - due to Aiden's accident last week and the life changing consequences of that I will not be participating in the Mac-Ride. I want to say thank you to everyone who has donated and I'm going to see if MacMillan will cross transfer the donations to another ride that I can attempt on my own at some date in the future.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
After starting to cycle a mere three months ago at the tender age of 49 I will at the beginning of May,(having just celebrated my 50th birthday with a little bit of style I hope!) be embarking on a sponsored 100 mile ride between Windsor and Stratford upon Avon in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support Services. This is my first target for cycling and I hope that you can support it. To read about details of my journey please visit my micro blog http://madoldbaggage.tumblr.com/ where you will discover that it isn't always easy being a mad old baggage!
The MacRide is the first of two charity rides I'm attempting this year. The second ride in June is to Aberdovey and is being run by West Midlands Police for local charities. I would be really grateful if you could split your sponsorship 50/50 but bear in mind that the Aberdovey Ride is not Just Giving friendly and I will have to ask for the sponsorship money in the traditional manner.
Thank you all :-)
