Women's 5k Challenge 2010 · 5 September 2010

We work with men and boys to challenge harmful cultures that lead to harassment, abuse and violence. Our White Ribbon Ambassadors and Champions engage with men and boys to call out such behaviour among their peers and promote a culture of equality and respect.

Story

Linda is taking part in a fantastic 5k run around Hyde Park with around 20,000 women taking part. It's a pretty flat course, and the support is always amazing.

This year Linda is running in aid of the White Ribbon Campaign.

The White Ribbon Campaign is the largest global effort of men working to end Violence Against Women. White Ribbon Day falls each year on 25th November, the International Day for the Eradication of Violence Against Women.

The UK Campaign is run primarily by volunteers to encourage men and boys to reflect upon their own and their friends attitudes towards women. They do so by working with schools, workplaces and other organisations to raise awareness of the issue.
