Hi everyone - I have been taking part in quite a few sporting events in the last year and many people have asked me if I was going to raise money for charity whilst doing them.  To be honest as I was taking part in these events for a purely personal challenge I felt a little uncomfortable asking people for money.  I did say though, that if I took part in something that was going to be a real challenge I would use the event to raise money for a good cause. Well I have just signed up for the 100k challenge London 2 Brighton 2014 and I think this one counts as a "real challenge".  I will be walking, jogging and maybe even running from Richmond to Brighton (100k) over the weekend of 24th and 25th May 2014. My chosen charity is MacMillan - there are many good charities out there but this particular charity and their nurses were there to support my mum and my friend when they were fighting cancer so I know the good work that they do and I would like to do something that goes a little way towards helping them continue with their great work.
