In October 2012 I am taking part in the WOMEN V CANCER India 350 km Cycle Challenge

You may ask why? - inspired by Jane Tomlinson, a personal desire to help friends and colleagues who have been affected by cancer, and in 2012 it is 60 years since my Dad won the Tour of Britain Cycle Race.

To this end, it seems fitting that I get on my bike and take on the challlenge! I don't have the cycling talents of my dad but I do have the determination and the desire to do something for others.

I am looking forward to preparing for the event with Anne Wright who I have co-opted onto the challenge, training with friends (thanks Alison Prytherch and my husband Jonathan for your support) and meeting new people.

I hope you will give a donation and/or organise an event in 2012 to further support my endeavour, challenge or madness to raise money for Breast, Ovarian and Cervical cancer charities. Thanks to friends who supported our Firework Evening ((£275) and the Extended Leadership meeting for our recent raffle (£54)
