Story

Karen’s story

In September 2013 Karen, an active, fit and seemingly healthy single working Mum, had a brain hemorrhage. The damage to her brain was so severe, neurological experts gave her little chance of survival.

But, despite being paralysed on the right side and unable
to talk, she practices every day to improve, supported by family and friends in the U.K. and the Netherlands, and
various therapists - Sports Therapy courtesy of Nieuw Amstelrade, Speech Therapy at the Afasie centrum in Amsterdam, Hydrotherapy with Fysiotherapie Gallilei, Music Therapy with Florencia Grasselli and social integration support from Boukje of NAH Professionals.

Please support this amazing effort and raise as much money as we can for Sport Relief.
