Story

My best friend, Chris, had a serious accident in June 2004. Since then he had a constant battle to overcome all the obstacles that were put in his way. Unfortunately, in July 2011, Chris became severely ill and sadly never recovered, leaving a massive hole in my heart.

On his road to recovery he stumbled upon a little known charity called Sports Driving Unlimited who give people of all ages, who are disadvantaged, have mental or physical disabilities or are terminally ill, the chance to gain the personal confidence and skills to succeed with all of life's challenges. They provide Sports Driving (Horse Carraige Driving) lessons, and take them to competitions all over the UK to partake in a sport they love at a competitive level. I have seen first hand at several events how much these people enjoy doing this sport, and through this run that I'm doing, I hope to extend the reach of this charity to other children out there who haven't yet had the opportunity to get involved due to lack of resources.

Sports Driving Unlimited changed Chris's outlook on what was available to him in life, and for that I am ever grateful.
