Story

Updated Sunday 10th July

I made it! Despite a pesky bug stopping my training for the final days, I'm delighted to have finished the race in 1 h 10 mins - in large part down to the HUGE motivation of having such incredibly amazing sponsorship - thank you everyone who has donated. It was a great event and in aid of such a good cause. With my love and thanks

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I'm running the British 10km Race on Sunday 10th July. At the time of writing (26th June) it's 32 degrees so I'm feeling a little nervous right now!

I signed up to the race with the objective of getting back into my running and am loving it! That said, if you're going to bother running for an hour (or possibly more in my case!) then I believe you should make it worthwhile for someone less fortunate. Therefore I've chosen to run for Anthony Nolan, a blood cancer charity.

If you're able to support me at all, be it £1, a fiver or more, you can trust that your money will go to the best possible use. Here's a quick summary of the amazing work they do, in their own words:

"Anthony Nolan is a charity that finds matches for leukaemia patients who need a lifesaving transplant. For someone with leukaemia, a bone marrow transplant can be their only hope of life. We use our register, cord blood bank and research to find remarkable people who can give them that hope by donating their stem cells. By doing this, we save lives."

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So if you're able to help, I'm truly very grateful for your support.

Thank you,
Lindsey
