Story

So, if you've got this far I'm hoping that means you are going to donate to this fabulous cause.

Having never done a marathon before I have decided to run both the Brighton & London marathon in 2015 - 2 marathons in 2 weeks!  Why???

Good question!  Well in March this year I managed to fall 330ft down the very beautiful Snowdon (never underestimate a snowy Snowdon!).  I spent about 5 hours on a rather dodgy ledge in a whole manner of pain.  Its a strange feeling thinking you're going to die, very soon after my fall a young fella lost his life falling on Snowdon.

But,  I didn't die.  The fabulous team at Llanberis Mountain Rescue came to my aid.  This team work voluntarily, 365 days a years.  They risk their safety to help people like me and it is thanks to them that many people live to see another day.  The picture for this sponsor page is of my rescue, I'm the one in the bag on the ground!!

This amazing team rely completely on donations from the public to ensure they have the equipment needed to carry out rescues.  The team receive no payment for their hard work,  all donations go towards essential equipment.  Without equipment they simply cannot function and that is not an option.

So, there you go, what better way to say thank you to the team for saving my life than by trying to kill myself running 2 marathons in 2 weeks. I really want to do Llanberis Mountain Rescue the honour they deserve by raising as much money as I can for them.  Please help me say thank you, I am extremely grateful for any amount you feel you can donate.

I can say with my hand on my heart I will never be asking you for your money again because I am only doing this once (unless of course I fall off another mountain!).

Thanks again,

Lindsey
