Story
Dear all,
As you may be aware, this year I am one of six leaders organising the annual Leeds RAG Bike to Berlin. After completing it last year I thought I'd step up and take the additional challenge of organising the ride. This year the challenge has got even bigger, taking more cyclists than ever before, aided by a wonderful support team of student volunteers. Starting on the 19th March, over eight days we will be cycling nearly 600 miles, starting from Leeds University, through Holland and ending in Berlin 8 days later.
Our chosen charity this year is the Multiple Sclerosis Society, which this year we hope to raise in excess of £13,000 for. This charity is one very close to my heart as my Mum passed away after having the disease for 14 years. It really is an incredible charity and offers support to both sufferers from the disease and their families in what can be very hard times, both emotionally and physically. Although all of our cyclists are doing this challenge for many reasons, for me personally it would mean a lot to raise money for someone I loved very much and I am very grateful to the other leaders and all our participants in showing their support for this charity.
So if you can spare a few pounds, I'd be eternally grateful,
Lindsey x
