Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Inspired Living has three aims :

  1. 1. To inspire ordinary men & women to adopt healthier lifestyles to reduce their risk of contracting cancer

  2. 2. To produce medical research information which is of high value in the fight against cancer

  3. 3. To raise £1 million for Cancer Research

The idea of demonstrating to a mass audience that moving away from high levels of saturated fats in a northern European context & that exercise, even of a modest intensity, both reduce cancer, as well as circulatory risks, is a central project theme. It may be that this aspect of the project saves most lives! The other two strands are turning the catalyst of someone’s death in to something wholly positive whilst simultaneously raising a great deal of money for further cancer research.

We are arranging a 2 stage sponsored cycle ride, a mass participation event on September 4 where we hope to get 1000 people cycling from Winchester to Portsmouth, with around 25 cyclists (including me) taking the ferry to France, riding 1,250 miles to Gibraltar over the next 2 weeks.

There's lots of information to be found at our website - www.inspiredliving.org.uk

If you want to follow our progress during the ride, check out our blog : win2gib.blogspot.com
