Story

Hello, thank you for visiting my page.

So here I am approaching my 50th birthday (May), soon I'll have 50 years worth of experiences behind me that will help steer me through the rest of my life. I am grateful to have all my family around me and look forward to sharing this memorable year with them.

There's lots on the agenda this year, but one of my goals is to raise some money towards the reseach for the prevention of type 1 diabetes.  My son was diagnosed in 2001 and I would very much like to see a cure in the near future.

On 28th September 2013 David and I will be attempting the 3 Peak Challenge in Yorkshire. I'll admit it's no marathon but when you get out of breath by just going upstairs, then believe me, one mountain is enough of a challenge let alone three.

It would be wonderful if you can spare a few pounds to help the charity JDRF. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Many thanks.

Lisa

UPDATE!!!!

We did it! I have to admit it was one of the hardest things I've ever done but we made it.  Thank you to everyone for your generosity and kind support in helping reach the target of £1000. Woohoo:)
