I'm raising money for The Prostate Cancer Charity - a charity that has become very close to my heart.  Prostate Cancer kills more men than any other disease but if men have an early diagonis then they have a very high chance of survival and can lead a normal life.

In August 2007 our family unfortunately lost my dad to this disease.  For six years prior to this when my dad was first diagonised life was pretty much an emotional roller coaster - experiencing the highs when he had been given good news and the stomach churning frightening feelings of what life had to hold when things weren't so good.  For me, my dad was also my best fried someone that I shared a unique  sense of humour with!  but also someone who had such a great love for all his family and life itself.  Through this adversity my dad remained upbeat and positive and it was his great sense of humour that kept us all going.  The day my dad died changed our lives forever and there is not a day that goes by that I dont think about him and miss him.

It is for this reason that I want to raise some money to stop even one family experiecing the emotional grief that we have.  My first fundraising event is my "squash exhibition evening" on Saturday May 8th.  My dad spent lots of time and money on taking me to squash tournaments so I thought that this would be a fitting way to raise money.  More info can be found on  www.lisasquash.co.uk..

As you will see from the picture my dad loved nothing more than a good drink, a dance and a laugh so lets hope that I have all of them along the way!!!!
