I have been inspired by the story of Hannah Francis, an incredibly brave and talented equestrian who lost her battle with bone cancer last year. Having followed Hannah's story and learned of the fantastic work of her charity Willberry Wonder Pony, I have decided to join the Wobbleberry Challenge 2017 to help raise some funds. This fantastic charity aims to support vital research into osteosarcoma and to grant equine related wishes to seriously ill people and their families.

So my challenge is to accompany my beautiful horse Prince around a BE80 later in the season. There I've said it! For my non horsey friends it is a one day event, dressage, showjumping and cross country on the same day. Whilst Prince and I are happy to ride a dressage test any day of the week the jumping has always been in private and for fun. And not always that much fun.. a lot of it has been rather speedy and very scary !! 

I decided to give this challenge a go because  Hannah's story really touched me, and I am so fortunate to have my health and a beautiful equine partner in Prince. Hopefully my fear will be overcome with hard work dedication and practice. Lots of practice!

We started practicing months ago, the jumping nerves are sometimes breathtaking, and Prince and I need loads of practice over  lots of courses. I am getting fitter... he is getting a little more clued up and organised..  We both lack confidence, hopefully not on the same day so that we can help each other out :-)
