On the 29th May I will be walking 100km from London to Brighton with my lovely neighbour Sophie.

When chats over the garden fence turned into walking most evenings, whilst we supported each other during lockdown, we hatched a plan to do an 'ultra walk' to raise money for the Samaritans, a charity  close to both our hearts.  Although l love walking, (having walked the Grand Canyon, Snowdon, Great Wall of China and the West Highland Way in recent years) I am definitely not underestimating this challenge. But I am sure that there will be much laughter,  chatting and some crying for sure all the way to Brighton! I hope you will follow our journey.

And now to my charity...........As a listening Volunteer for the Samaritans, I am passionate about the work we do. Every day, we respond to around 10,000 calls for help and are there for anyone who just needs someone. In 2020, Samaritan volunteers spent over 1 million hours hours responding to calls for help with more than 20,000 volunteering their time and despite social distancing measures and lockdown restrictions we still reached over 65,000 people through work in local communities.

I am so proud to be part of this wonderful organisation and hope you will help me in raising funds.
