<p>Many of you who know me will know I have battled with my weight. Two years ago I decided to venture on the weight loss journey and decided to take up running to help me along the way. I started off running round Wintersett lake, I couldnt get all the way round to start off with but with the help of my loyal running buddy, my cocker spaniel, called Barney, I improved. I continued running on my own, building up my stamina and about a year later decided to join Ackworth Road Runners where I met some lovely people and made lots of new friends. I recently reached my target weight with the best slimming group ever, Slimming World. I now thought it was time for another achievement and so decided to entre the South Yorkshire Half Marathon which is on Mother's day, 18th March!!! The Slimming World group I attend do a lot of fund raising for Rotherham Hospice so I have decided to raise sponsorship for this worth while cause. I would be very grateful if you could sponsor me. I have to say, I have never run any race (apart from Pontefract Park Run), so this will be a big achievement for me.
