<p><strong>I am raising money for The Lauren Currie Twilight Foundation in their efforts to raise money for research into Wegeners Granulomatosis. </strong></p> <p>I am supporting this charity in memory of my Dad Davy Walker who sadly passed with a particularly rare and aggressive variant of Vasculitis called Wegener&rsquo;s Granulomatosis he was only 45 years old and had always been fit and healthy.</p> <p>Doctors first thought Davy just had the flu then a week later he was admitted to hospital with suspected pneumonia where he had to be ventilated through a mask to assist his breathing the next day he was placed in an induced coma and ventilated to assist his breathing since he was growing tired very quickly it wasn't until after this that he was finally diagnosed with WG, sadly it wasn't discovered in time for him to respond to the treatment. Davy never regained consciousness and passed away a couple of weeks later.</p> <p>I appreciate any donation made to the foundation.. This is a very rare disease which needs research.
