Story
In 1988, when she was only 39, my mum died of ovarian cancer, leaving behind 3 very young children.
This year marks 25 years without her and as a family we decided it would be nice to honour her memory in some way.
On 5th October 2013, we will be taking part in 'Walk for One Million' for Target Ovarian Cancer, which is a 10km walk around Hatfield House in Hertfordshire. I know it's not exactly the London Marathon, but those that have put up with my incessant moaning about the walk from Kings Cross to Holborn will appreciate I'm not a fan of any form of exercise. I will be complaining the whole way round ("are we there yet?, "can we have a sit down?" "whose idea was this?" etc etc...)
My team includes my dad, sister, brother and auntie.
I've set myself a nice round target of £1,000.
I hate asking for money and know that people get asked for stuff like this all the time, so won't be offended if you don't sponsor me.
I should also say that although this is a bit of a sad story, my dad is amazing and I had a brilliant childhood :)
Thank you!
Lisa
