Lisa's Grand Union Challenge 100km 28th June 2014

Grand Union Canal 2014 · 28 June 2014 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 28th June 2014 I will be attempting to run 100km (62 miles or roughly 2.5 marathons) in a day. The Grand Union Challenge follows the Grand Union Canal from London (Paddington) to Bletchley. This is going to be the hardest race I've ever done and will be more than 10 hours of running.
Crazy - yes, but it's for a good cause. I lost my Dad to lung cancer in November last year. Dad had a Macmillan nurse, Julie, by his side during the last few days of his life. She made sure that he was as comfortable and as peaceful as he could be. She was also a huge support to our family during that difficult time. I have a great admiration for what nurses like Julie do and the support they give to terminally ill cancer patients and their families. This is one way of saying thank you and also of raising awareness for the incredible work that Macmillan does.
Thank you for your support, all donations, no matter the size, mean a lot to me and to Macmillan.
