Maternity Worldwide has a vision of a world in which all women and their babies are able to access safe and appropriate childbirth regardless of where they live. We exist to reduce mortality and injury associated with childbirth in Sub-Saharan Africa where the risk of dying in childbirth is highest.

Maternity Worldwide is a charity dedicated to saving lives in childbirth in developing countries such as Ethiopia where our cycle challenge will take place. Just £15 helps to ensure the saftey of a mother during childbirth...whether you have had a child or not or are currently pregnant or know someone who is, i'm sure you will agree that this is a small price to pay for the safety of mother and baby.

We are lucky that we have access to an excellent standard of maternity care in this country, but countries such as Ethiopia don't always have that luxury making pregnancy and childbirth a real life or death gamble.

Good maternity care and the wellbeing of women and children is a subject that is obviously close to my heart being a midwife. That is why my friend Sally (Northampton Homebirth Midwife) and I chosen to support this charity.

We hope you'll agree that this is a worthwhile cause and give as much as you can to help us in our quest to reach our targets!
