Bupa Great South Run 2009 · 25 October 2009 ·

The Lullaby Trust exists to keep babies safe and to keep grieving families supported. We fund life-saving research, empower families with expert baby safety advice and support grieving families through their darkest days. We won’t give up until no baby dies suddenly or unexpectedly.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page and your donation is hugely appreciated.

As you may know, we lost our gorgeous nephew, Edward Thomas Kirton who was 6 months and 5 days old, to Sudden Infant Death on April 19th 2009. It's something that you aren't aware of until you have to experience it, and it really is one of the hardest acts of nature. However, FSIDS have been fantastic to my family, and are doing a great job in raising awareness of infant death and developing research in the aim to establish why this ever happens to such innocent babies. Not only that, they offer support to bereaved families, and continued support with their future babies.

So, we are attempting the Great South Run on October 25th, which is 10 miles around Southsea, Portsmouth, in the aim to raise some money for this excellent cause, and will be doing it in memory of Edward. Any donation you can give is greatly received, and thank you on behalf of all the Cadman / Kirtons/ Thomas' and Plants!! (what a lovely collection of surnames).
