I am rasing money for LHCH to give back something for the way they have changed my life. I had a new heart valve fitted in 1987 to replace a faulty one - commonly known as a hole in the heart.  By 2007 this new valve had worn out so LHCH fitted a new mechanical heart valve for me which has given me a new lease of life. I am extremely grateful to all of the staff at the hospital who looked after me so well.  I am now very fit and active and enjoy playing cricket and golf as well as cycling - not at the same time though. 

I would be really grateful if you could help me and the rest of the Liverpedlian's to reach our fund raising target.  The full team is Stan Byrne, Jeff Charnock, Dave Hayes, Joe Hill, Ray Hill, Terry Hill, John Parr, Liam Ryan and our driver and support team John Carter.  We are cycling the coast to coast route from Whitehaven to Sunderland from 14th to 16th June.
