Hello guys and girls...

You will be aware that my Dad passed away on Tuesday 30 Aug 11 after a great life and managing in the last two years with losing his legs to diabetes.

He was immensely proud of both Ross and myself. His passion in life was sport and this rubbed off on me and Ross - we will forever keep ourselves fit and healthy; I implore you all do the same.

By coincidence, my next major race is the Liverpool marathon on the 9 October 11. Dad was born in Liverpool on 5 September 1946 and lived there until we moved to West Kirby in 1982 (when I was one!!).

I have decided to combine the 26.2 mile race with an extra 3-5 miles at the end and finish at Anfield stadium - home of Liverpool FC, Dad's favourite team.

I had signed up to the race before Dad died, but I am now raising money for Diabetes UK, a disease that is so underrated.

I hope to see some of you there…

Love you all very much x
