On Christmas Eve 2012 one of my close friends was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

She is one of the most active people I know and despite her diagnosis she is planning, along with her team of supporters, to take part in an event each month of this year to raise money and awareness for Macmillan Cancer Support.

I am part of that team and will use her as inspiration and motivation to get fit and take part, cos if she can do it, I really have no excuse at all!!
