Story
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my Just Giving Page.
This summer I am taking up a challenge to take part in a ride across the length of . A 16 strong team from Cadbury are setting out on12th June, to cycle the 1008 miles from John O' Groats to Lands End in order to raise money for the GB Paralympics Association. My personal aim is to complete 70 miles/ day for the 9 days.
My training is still in its infancy, having kept to indoor sport during the winter months, but I’ll update this page to let you know how I’m getting along!
The British Paralympics Association is a fantastic charity. They will be particularly relevant over the next couple of years in the run up to the 2012 Games on home soil. Their aim is to capitalise on this great event to inspire the British public; changing the way people with a disability are perceived through the exceptional performances of our athletes and improving the opportunities they have to participate in sports at all levels.
Did you know that the British Paralympics team produced an incredible performance in , finishing second overall behind hosts and winning an incredible 102 medals, 42 of them gold!
I will be extremely grateful for any donation that you are able to make.
Many thanks,
Liz
