RSPCA Woodside rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes hundreds of neglected and abandoned animals each year. We receive no funding from the government or the central RSPCA, relying on the generous support of the public and local businesses to keep the centre running.

Story

Well, where do we start. As part of our role as Champions for Mars Petcare UK S&F Passion for Pets scheme. We have been organising and promoting volunteering and fundraising for Leicester Woodside.

We thought we needed to get off our bums and do a challenge!!!

So we asked for suggestions, some were not printable, others not so bad. But then we came up with a Challenge!!!!

So on

Saturday 25th June

We will cycle 23 miles (someone pick kirsty up off the floor) around Rutland Water.

Expectations are this will take a leisurely 4 hours ish, taking in a watering hole or two.

All spectators are very much welcome on the day to participate in some or all!!! of the event or just to cheer us on.

Our plan is to start at Normanton and go anti-clockwise taking in the peninsula.

We'll keep you posted as to the exact timings nearer the time and there will be many posts on facebook as the day goes on.

Please given genously even if it's just pence every penny counts. It take £14,000 a week to keep Woodside going so any donation is so welcomed.

See you there :o)
