Bournemouth Marathon Festival Half Marathon 2015 · 4 October 2015 ·

No parent expects to live longer than their child, but for many of the families we support, this is a reality. Julia's House, the Dorset & Wiltshire Children's Hospice charity provides frequent respite care for children and support for their families at home, in the community and at our hospice.

Story

This year I decided I needed a couple of new challenges, to try and complete. The first was a triathlon, (my first ever) which colleague persuaded me to join in with, scary as it was, I ticked this one off. The next is completing a 70 mile bike ride in the Purbecks (totally crazy). The final one is running a half, marathon in under 2 hours and 10 minutes which will be breaking my PB by 10 minutes (that's going to be hard work).

With all of these challenges I am raising money for Julias house which is a local charity doing amazing work with children and there families who have life limiting conditions. I have seen the fanastic work they do, and I have been privileged to work with some of there families and siblings in my job with Rockley Watersports. With the donations that you give this amazing life changing work will continue. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and any donations are much appreciated.
