<div id="id_4da4875b7e81d4517902713" class="text_exposed_root text_exposed">Hello everybody,<br /><br />I’m doing a tandem parachute jump to raise funds for The West of England MS Therapy Centre.<br /><br />About two years ago, I had Sabin and immediately became very ill. It took a while to be diagnosed with MS. <br /><span class="text_exposed_hide">...</span><span class="text_exposed_show"><br />This centre has been a life line for me since there is very limited help on the NHS. It provides subsidised treatments like: Physiotherapy, acupuncture, Oxygen dive therapy, counselling as well as a great support system and a place to meet other people with MS. <br /><br />This centre receives no state funding and it presently costs £300,000.00 a year just to keep the doors open.<br /><br />I am hoping to fundraise at least £450, so please dig deep as every penny counts!<br /><br />Thank you very much for your support, this is very important for us!<br />MS affects 1700 people in the Greater Bristol Area. Most of these people are diagnosed in their 20’s and 30’s. <br /><br />The West of England MS Therapy Centre launched a £150,000 appeal on the 4th November. The Centre is celebrating 25 years of helping people with Multiple Sclerosis in the Greater Bristol Area and has noticed a sharp increase in numbers of people needing our services. We are currently predicting that numbers using the Centre will increase by a massive 20% in just a few months.<br /><br />The Centre is very proud of the fact that it never turns anyone away and so to cope with this spike in numbers we are asking for help in raising £150,000 to, not only help these people with essential therapies, but also buy new equipment for these people to use. We had always known that there was demand for our services and had planned for this with the move to our new Centre at Bradley Stoke. However, our recent raised profile has seen more people wanting to use the Centre than ever before.
