Story

So Sorry!

Hey everyone - thanks to those that have made a donation to a great cause. Unfortunately, after almost 5 months of training, getting up to 12 miles at a comfortable trot, braving the cold and wet and pounding the pavement at least three times a week, I have suffered a knee injury and have been advised that I shouldn't do the run as I risk doing myself serious damage.

Personally, I am really disappointed as I never thought I would be capable of running such distance and was amazed at being able to do a comfortable 12-miler and was really looking forward to the day...so close, and yet so far.

I totally understand if you would like your donations refunded and ask you to email me at liz_tyson@wildfutures.org and I can arrange it.

Maybe next year...

Hello there and thanks for visiting my page.

I have been roped into this malarky in order to raise much-needed funds for the Wild Futures Monkey Sanctuary.

This year a set of guidelines for the keeping of monkeys as pets in the UK has come into force, making it more difficult for these beautiful animals to be kept privately in poor conditions. The result of the enforcement of these guidelines is that there will be more and more primates in need of a home for life - something which our organisation has dedicated the last 45 years to providing.

For those that know me, you will know that running is not exactly my forte and so this will not be a walk in the park for me! Every penny pledged will make braving the conditions (this is being written in February when we are enjoying yet another "cold snap") and the aching muscles in the months coming up to the run worth it!

Help us to help more monkeys in need by pledging your support!

Many many thanks from me, all at Wild Futures and, of course, the monkeys xxx
