                      WORKINGTON TO  SUNDERLAND
                                  COAST  TO  COAST
                                     15th JUNE 2010

Well the two old age pensioners have done it! We reached 2000ft at Black Hill on our bikes and completed 145 miles, so our training around the Devon hills paid off! The experience has been amazing, the wonderful scenery and the great weather all added up to one of the greatest  experiences of our lives.

2009  has been a bad year for me, I made a speedy recovery from surgery to both feet at the end of January 2009.  Then in early April I had a bad accident while training, breaking my left arm & dislocating both shoulders badly. It has been a long painful 12 months due to  complications, but I have now  been signed off by my physio, and hoping for a full recovery! Needless to say I  cancelled my entry for the London to Paris Cycle Ride on the  28th to 31st August 2009. So I now plan to cycle Coast to Coast on the 14th June 2010 together with my husband Mike, similar mileage but less traffic, but lots of steep hills, so please keep supporting me with your donations. Looking on the bright side, the delay  should give me more time to reach my target of £5000!!!!!!
            
As a 64 year old granny, I know I must be mad, but this challenge is a personal one in memory of my dear friend Sue Langman who fought for so long against cancer and is a thank you for the loving care she received at Rowcroft Hospice.
