I'm running the 10k race to raise money for SNAPPY which provides a fantastic playscheme for children and adolescents with a range of special needs and disabilities. Many children often struggle to access social and leisure facilities as they need a lot of support so for some children this is their only opportunity to venture out without their parents. Not only do the children have a wonderful time, it also gives their carers a valuable break to spend time with other family members or to go and relax. My son Rudie (who has autism) attends this scheme and loves it!.. Its in dire need of funding and in danger of closing so please give what you can, and it will make a lot of children really happy!
