<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><em><strong><span style="color: #ff00ff;">On May 22nd 2011</span><span style="color: #800080;">, 13 of us crazy runners who had all set out on this epic journey on Friday 13th crossed the finish line for the final time. <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><span style="color: #ff99cc;">13 out 13 in became our motto!</span> </span>It was emotional, there were a lot of tears... it was tiring, but it was soooo sooooo worth it :) Thank you to EVERYONE who has supported me & donated & if you haven't already, it is <span style="text-decoration: underline;">NOT </span>too late to donate ;-) <span style="color: #ff0000;">EVERY penny goes towards the amazing work that Brathay Hall Trust does every second of every day, with some of the most vulnerable children in the UK.</span></span></strong></em></div>

Marathons are difficult things and you really never know what obstacles will await you on that 26.2 mile journey. This insight becomes all the more frightening when you grasp that this journey will continue for 10 painful days. But wait, this is no flat, walk-in-the-park type of course….oh no! The Lakes are a hilly place and this marathon has some killer hills. You will definitely get your money’s worth by sponsoring me on this crazy quest.</strong></em></div>

The beautiful (yet hilly...) Windermere marathon x 10! Windermere marathon was my very first marathon in 2009 & it led to all the madness. Helping to empower young individuals that have been affected by difficult personal and social circumstances, Brathay gives these children somewhere to turn; giving them the skills to make positive choices about their behaviour and attitude. Currently, Brathay Hall Trust work with over 5000 disadvantaged youngsters – let’s see what else we can do. </strong></span></div>
