Story

For some reason, I know not why, I have signed myself up to a veritable triathlon of charity events in 2011, the first of which is this 12 mile swim.

I will be swimming 1 mile on the hour, every hour, overnight, in an outdoor pool, for 12 hours! Having only trained sporadically over the last few years this is going to be a massive challenge, but one that is for a great cause. If you would like more details (or if you want to join me ;) !!!) please visit the 2swim4life website http://www.2swim4life.com/

Most of you will know of Help for Heroes, and the fantastic work they do, but for a little reminder here is a quote from their home page...

"It’s about the 'blokes', our men and women of the Armed Forces. It’s about Derek, a rugby player who has lost both his legs, it’s about Carl whose jaw is wired up so he has been drinking through a straw. It’s about Richard who was handed a mobile phone as he lay on the stretcher so he could say goodbye to his wife. It’s about Ben, it’s about Steven and Andy and Mark, it’s about them all. They are just blokes but they are our blokes; they are our heroes. We want to help our heroes."

Being from a military family, this is a charity I strongly believe in and am proud to be supporting, so please help motivate me to get to the end and give generously!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
