<p>Thank you&nbsp;for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.</p> <p>As you may know, I am going to Brazil this Summer for nearly 4 weeks to help at the Projeto Alcancando Vidas (PAV), near Rio. The project, which&nbsp;is supported by The Good Shepherd Project, a Christian charity,&nbsp;has over 100 children in its care. These are children who would otherwise be living and working on the streets.&nbsp;They come from backgrounds of&nbsp;violence, abuse and extreme poverty, and many have been used as "little aeroplanes", carrying drugs for the many drug gangs in the area.</p> <p>There are 24 of us going to the project, including leaders, and we shall be working very hard to make a difference to the lives of the children. We shall be taking lessons and crafts,&nbsp;playing games and music,&nbsp;teaching English and making family and community visits. I shall be involved in drama as well.</p> <p>My&nbsp;fundraising target is &pound;1700, which will cover all my costs and will allow me to&nbsp;take equipment and materials, which will stay at the project when the team returns home.&nbsp;</p> <p>I have already raised some money by doing car washing, selling a prize puzzle sheet and car boot sales, but I still need some help!</p> <p>Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
