We raise money to improve the lives of sports tetraplegics

Story

27 June - swift (by our standards) 43 miles done after work around the New Forest, no ice cream breaks. A little sore...where is that sudocrem?

22 June - We have just entered into the New Forest Rattler, 79 miles around the forest on Aug 21. Good training! Best get our bums used to the saddles!

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Neither of us have taken on such a challenge in our lives. Riding a bike for 7-8 hours a day for 3 days covering the 238 miles from London to Paris is not something we had ever dreamed of. We have decided to put ourselves through the physical and mental fatigue (not to mention the saddle soreness) in order to raise money for a charity called REGAIN.

REGAIN assist people who have suffered spinal injuries as a result of accidents in sporting activity and help to improve their life conditions by getting them back into sport.
REGAIN’s strap line is ‘life can change in a second’. It certainly makes you pause for thought when you realise that the people they help are normal people enjoying their sport when the scrum collapses, they go over the handlebars whilst cycling or they fall awkwardly going up for a header resulting in paralysis.

This is not a challenge that we have taken lightly, it takes significant time and effort to train for but we are happy to raise money for such a good cause.

Please dig deep and sponsor us and help us meet our target.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. About the charity

Regain is the only charitable organisation dedicated solely to improving the independence of all British men & women who have become tetraplegic as a result of a sporting or leisure accident. A tetraplegic is unable to walk and has limited reach & dexterity because use of the arms is severely impaired.
