UPDATE 18 NOVEMBER, 2010 Tania Matthews died peacefully and quickly this week in Willen House after a long and courageous battle against cancer. Friends and supporters from all over the world send their greatest sympathies and love to her husband Stan and to Tania’s family and friends. Throughout her short life, our dear friend Tania has been an inspiration to all who knew her, selflessly contributing to China charities and helping others despite her serious illness. Her amazing capacity to remain positive despite her struggle, and losing her beloved Aunt to the same disease earlier this year, has astounded everyone who knows her, and has almost certainly helped account for the two years of cancer-free health she enjoyed.   Tania’s chosen charity is Willen House hospice, she told me recently:   ”The hospice have been fantastic and such a huge support and help in getting my pain relief sorted, which is great.  At least I know their service is on my doorstep and I can call on them whenever I need to, which is fantastic”.   Willen House relies on charitable donations for 75% of its running costs.
