April 1st 2010 I will be flying out to the Sahara Desert to run what is billed as the toughest footrace on earth!  It covers 151 miles  (or 5.5 marathons) and is run over the most gruelling terrain on earth.  I will have to carry all the kit I need for the week on my back (that includes an anti venom pump - just in case the scorpions get me!!!)  Temperatures will rise to 120 F and much of the race is over the highest dunes on earth.  In short this is probably the craziest thing I will ever do in my life but I am doing it to raise money to help young people around us who live in fear practically every day of their young lives.  Six days running doesn't sound so bad then!!

I will have to run practically every day and weight train several times a week to be anywhere near fit enough to take this on, I will do my bit and run like mad,  please please help me to make it worthwhile, give whatever you can afford, no matter how much every bit counts!
