My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As many of my friends and family know I am no natural born runner, however I set myself a New Year's resolution... Starting "joggling" regularly. In an attempt to keep me motivated I have entered several 10k races during the summer, finishing off with a half marathon in Aviemore in October, three days before a Univeristy exam.
Since entering these races, I have become increasingly aware of the plight that Rhino's are up against in Southern Africa. This year alone, over 40 Rhinos have been killed, where the average as at 10 February was one every 21 hours. Poachers are using chainsaws to hack off the horn and leaving the Rhinos, and even elephants, too weak to move and bleed to death. Rhinos are already considered endangered and at the current rate of poaching, they will be extinct soon, some estimates within the next 5 years.
