Story

Our Skydive takes place FRIDAY 5th JULY 2013!

We are now jumping from even higher (Gulp!) 50% higher in fact. No longer 10,000ft but 15,000ft to try and raise more for the Reverse Retts charity! Higher than 15,000 ft (2.84 miles!) you need an oxygen mask and there is almost 30% less oxygen at that height! We will reach a skydiving speed of around 120 to 130 MPH!

JESSI & JOHN ARE PAYING FOR THE COST OF THEIR SKYDIVES PERSONALLY THAT MEANS EVERY PENNY YOU SPONSOR WILL GO TO RETT SYNDROME

JESSI

Hi guys and girls!

Thanks for coming along to sponsor me and my dad to jump not 10,000 feet (as first planned) but 15,000 feet out of a plane to raise money for Rett Syndrome! We are going the jump for my beautiful little step cousin Lauren in order to help her mother Helen raise £10,000 pounds for this amazing charity within a set time. The jump has been paid for out of our own money, so 100% of any donation given will go straight to Rett Syndrome to help support Lolly and everyone they support as a charity. So please, be as generous as possible as its going to an amazing cause. Both mines and my dads jumps will be videoed (funding for this out of our own pockets aswell) will be posted for all to see afterwards! As Rett has robbed Lolly of her voice, I would like to thank all the generous donators..not only on my behalf BUT on Lolly's behalf aswell! You're all wonderful! Please keep giving guys, we are changing kids lives here! Anyway, see you'll on the ground :)

Jess.

JOHN

OK this was Jessi's idea! I did not realise she was crazy until she called me and said "I have a great idea but will you agree to come with me?" I had to agree BEFORE being told what it was !!!!

Gulp!

Please sponsor Jessi for her shear determination!

I have another problem! I really need to get below 15 stone so I have around a stone to lose before we jump on 30 June. They are worried I might stretch the paracute wires.

I will also be financing the cost of my Skydive to ensure ALL donates money goes to Rett Syndrome.

INFORMATION ABOUT RETT SYNDROME

For those who haven't heard of Rett Syndrome, here is a piece of information about it from the internet - Rett syndrome, originally termed as cerebroatrophic hyperammonemia, is a neurodevelopmental disorder of the grey matter of the brainthat almost exclusively affects females but has also been found in male patients. The clinical features include small hands and feet and a deceleration of the rate of head growth (including microcephaly in some). Repetitive stereptyped hand movements, such as wringing and/or repeatedly putting hands into the mouth, are also noted. People with Rett syndrome are prone to gastrointestinal disorders and up to 80% have seizures. They typically have no verbal skills, and about 50% of individuals affected are not ambulatory. Scoliosis, growth failure, and constipation are very common and can be problematic.
