Our aim is to make the experience better for patients in UCL Hospitals, by providing additional facilities and equipment which can't be funded by the NHS.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This June, Stephen and I will be taking our tandem up north - cycling from London* to John O'Groats over the course of a week. We are raising money for the Friends of UCLH, which support projects in University College London Hospitals which improve the experience that patients have there.

Their big project this year is to provide new equipment for the hospital radio's studio, as the current kit is very out of date. CityBeat broadcasts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, staffed by volunteers, and its prize-winning programmes are available free to patients in UCH.

Better equipment will mean that the team can continue to provide these services, which are very popular with patients (CityBeat comes third in the listening figures, only behind Capital Radio and Radio 4).

*Actually, if all goes well, we will also be cycling from London down to Land's End - wish us luck!
