<p>In October 2010, my Uncle was unexpectedly admitted to the Intensive Care Unit at Yeovil District Hospital, where he was expertly cared for by an outstanding group of Doctors and Nurses. Fortunately and thanks to their skills he is still with us today.</p>
<p>To ensure that this level of care is maintained for future patients, I am looking to raise money to donate to the NHS Foundation Trust. <strong><span style="color: #0000ff;">In August 2011, I will be riding from my home in North London to Yeovil District Hospital in Somerset</span></strong>, an estimated distance of 250km depending on how lost I get! I will be completing the ride over two days and I would be very grateful if you would sponsor me.</p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #0000ff;">Yeovil District Hospital NHS Foundation Trust</span></strong> provides acute care for a population of about 180,000, mostly in South Somerset, North and West Dorset, and parts of Mendip and has 345 beds. Increasingly, however, patients are using patient choice and deciding to come to YDH from as far afield as London and Portsmouth. Donated funds are used for the benefit of patients and staff to enhance the healing environment and to complement the patient experience.</p>
