DM Thomas Foundation for Young People (formerly Hilton in the Community Foundation) is a grant-making organisation that supports the education and health of vulnerable and disadvantaged young people. By funding equipment, training, and refurbishment, the Foundation is transforming young lives.

Story

Gordon Coles, Celia Geyer, Phillipa Le Roux and Chris Webb are members of the Archicture, Design and Construction team from Hilton Worldwide. We have teamed up with other members of the European Executive to cycle from London to Paris in order to raise funds for our charity, Hilton in the Community Foundation. Cycling 230 miles in three days is going to be immensely demanding, but by completing this challenge we are planning to raise £6,000 in support of HCF – well worth the sore legs!

HCF supports disadvantaged and vulnerable young people all over Europe by providing equipment, training, support and refurbishment grants to a wide range of charities, focusing on the areas of health and education. By providing this help HCF is able to give the tools, support and opportunities for young people to develop their skills and to have a brighter future. Projects range from providing support dogs to children with autism to aid their social skills and integration; to providing medical equipment for children’s hospices; to respite breaks for children with cancer; through to re-furbishing schools. Please donate generously to this fantastic cause and thank you for supporting our cycle ride from London to Paris.

The cycle ride is organised by Global Adventure Challenges and costs approximately £845 per person which will be deducted from the funds we raise.
