On the 9th and 10th April three intrepid young (ish) explorers, Will Thurley and Tom's Keyte and Kilner, will leave their comfortable London existence and attempt to walk the 100 miles back to their beautiful home county of Dorset in 48 hours.
The challenge will support Alive & Kicking, an African social enterprise that manufactures footballs to distribute to children, schools and charities, creating jobs for adults and promoting health education through sport.
The funds raised will go to Alive & Kicking’s partner in Zambia, Breakthrough Chiparamba Sports Academy (BCSA), a community based non-profit organisation based in Lusaka, to fund the provision of IT hardware and software for use by both staff and beneficiaries. This is part of a wider project that involves helping to renovate the offices and providing ICT training for staff.
