My story
I am training for my first marathon and was extremely lucky to secure my place in London through my local running club - Gala Harriers. It has been a life long ambition to complete a marathon. I am Raising funds for the final million to build The Margaret Kerr Unit for in-patient specialist palliative care in the Borders

I did it...... I ran the whole 26.2 miles in 4 hours and 4 minutes - what an amazing experience. Thank you all soo much for the very kind sponsorship and messages.

'the difference' is a local charity that exists to enhance patient care in the Scottish Borders. We work in close partnership with healthcare professionals across the full spectrum of hospital and community activity, to identify projects that will help local doctors, nurses and other clinicians enhance the care which they provide. Our work funds equipment, research, training, patient comforts and improvements to patient and staff environment.
