This year, I have decided to cycle further than I have ever done in my life while wearing more lycra than is generally acceptable in polite company to raise money for Diabetes UK.
Contrary to popular belief, diabetes is not a lifestyle choice for many people who have it through genetic reasons. I personally know people who successfully manage their diabetes condition through hard work and courage. Their stories have inspired me to cycle from London to Paris in support of Diabetes UK.
